How does a shower curtain differ from a cubicle curtain?
Shower curtains use #14 aluminum grommets instead of nickel-plated to resist corrosion in wet environments. The fabric weight and construction are also optimized for repeated moisture exposure and high-temperature laundering.
Are aluminum grommets really necessary?
In a shower environment, yes. Nickel-plated grommets will eventually corrode and stain the fabric around each hole. Aluminum grommets are corrosion-resistant and maintain their finish through hundreds of wash cycles.
Does the NFPA 701 rating survive laundering?
Yes. Our fabric uses inherent FR polyester — the flame retardancy is built into the fiber chemistry, not applied as a topical treatment. It does not wash out and requires no retesting after laundering.
What size do I need?
Measure your shower opening width and specify your desired drop from header to hem. We cut to your exact dimensions: width from 36" to 120" in 6" increments, drop from 54" to 96" in 3" increments. A common rule of thumb is to add 12"–24" to your opening width for proper coverage and gather.
