For when safety is the top priority.

Hook-and-loop tabs slide across an extruded aluminum track. Exceed the load threshold and the curtain instantly separates from the track and drops to the floor.

Break-A-Way Shower Curtain

The Imperial Break-A-Way™ shower curtain hanging system was designed specifically for behavior facilities where safety is the top priority. Based upon our proprietary hook and loop safety tab system, the anti-ligature Break-A-Way™ shower curtain will safely detach from the track system when pressure is applied. Compatible with both the IFC-69 ceiling mounted track and the IFC-79 wall mounted track, our system is the most trusted options for large facilities.

Security Shower Curtain

Purpose-built for correctional facilities, behavioral health units, and other supervised environments where staff need to maintain sightlines without sacrificing inmate or patient privacy. What load actually triggers the release?

Each tab will separate from the curtain under 3-4 lbs of downward pressure.

How do you replace the curtain after a release?

Simply hand press the tabs against the back side of the curtain so the hook and loop can connect. No tools required.

Will the Break-A-Way curtain work with my existing track and carriers?

Break-A-Way curtains require Imperial's IFC-69 or IFC-79 track system. We also pop-out carriers that are compatible with existing IFC-98 cubicle track.

What fabric do you use?

Imperial's behavorial curtains can be made with any fabrics that meets NFPA 701. Draperies are made with a variety designer patterns including the Signature Collection. Behavioral shower curtains are most often fabricated from breathable polyester that allow some passage of air through the material. Security Shower Curtains are typically made from antimicrobial vinyl that is fluid and odor resistant.

Can the drapery be specified with blackout liner?

Yes, provided the weight of the blackout liner fits within the weight capacity of the carriers.

What standard sizes do you stock?
